| WB. Here is the first of two images of official photos that were taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 7 July 1963. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's Locomotive Test Plant. In the background are some of the Altoona Car Shop buildings. In the early 1900's, this area was the industrial heart of the PRR: the Altoona Machine Shops, as well as the Eastern and Western Roundhouses, were located here.
